Matthew Stafford against the Browns, one more time

At the time, I described the Lions’ victory over the Browns like this:
This will be Matt Stafford's signature win. If he flames out in a blaze of interceptions, people will point to this win and wonder what might have been. If he goes on to be the next Elway, and the Lions win multiple Super Bowls with him at the helm, this will be the game they point to and say “It all started when . . .”. . . watching this Hitchcockian one-shot short film, even those words don't lend that moment its proper significance. In case all the rumblings of Pacman Jones and the owner’s meetings and the overtime rules had let you forget, here’s a reminder: we have our quarterback. It’s been fifty years, but the Detroit Lions finally have a lead dog to pull their sled. Even if he’s not a Hall of Famer, even if his career is not Peytonesque, Matthew Stafford will still be the savior who leads the Lions out of football Hell.

Goosebumps.
TY MAN EVERYTIME SEEING THAT WOW SAYS IT ALL. DAVE RIGHT ON
The end of that game was the moment when the storm finally stood still just long enough for us to relax, smile and breathe and know that everything was going to be all right after all.
The storm started again soon after, but it stopped for that moment, and that moment was enough to make me believe that the storm will pass one day, and sooner rather than later.
The one moment I had to close my eyes and remember when I was writing my check for season tickets.
Detroit was miked up twice last year.
Schwartz against the 'skins.
Stafford against the Browns.
As much as I hate players/coaches being wired, I have to say I like the results.
Awesome, just awesome.
Thanks for the link to that Ty. It was nice to remember the moments that being a Lions fan has some rewards. Thankfully, I feel that these moments are going to become more frequent over the next few years. I have confidence that last season what the start of our climb out of the dregs of the NFL. I feel that this coming season will be even better. We should turn the corner to being competitive either this season or next.
Just my gut feeling.
"I feel that this coming season will be even better."
While this game and moment was magical, to say next season may be "even better" than a 2 win season sounds pretty ridiculous.
Dont get your hopes up with one touch down i like stafford but even joey had a coupule good game to bad we didnt take Drew Brees
I want Pettigrew healthy
I just made a comment about joey booooo. lol to be serious we sould trad down from # 2 to 7 or that area and pick Eric Berry lets build a D that would give our offence plenty of chanses
We need to bring in Brian Westbrook he can play special teames as well and provied exsperiance leadership to our young backs
Go lions maybe in future drafts we can pick new owners 1st over all LOL...good day all freddielee1974
