Thanks for the fireside chat.

You are right, Matthew is bailing out and he isn't showing the confidence that we are accustomed to seeing from him. He doesn't look like he is having fun.

I also agree that the running game and the Oline are not the only issues here.

I think there is a reason why Matt is trying to look for that perfect pass, and it comes down to play calling.

Linehan is not being creative or aggressive at all. His terrible play calling is putting them in 2nd and 3rd and long all game. I think this makes Matt feel that they have to pick up chunks, and it just isn't working.

I am so tired of seeing 2nd and 10 and we run a draw play. It's not working, move on. I know we need to run the ball, but it is so predictable. Pick your spots, if you are regularly in 2nd and long throw the ball.

We also did not find ways to get our backs involved in the passing game, which is a big part of our game.

I do agree with your remarks about the defense. They have played excellent with all things considered and have done more than enough to keep us in the games.

You're spot on when you say the Defense is not the problem, but I really think you're giving the rushing game a pass. They were not effective in this game. Sure the final stat-line looks good, 5.2 a carry is GREAT.

But break those numbers down, and it's not impressive...at all. 15 of the 20 carries went for 3 or less. That's 75% of rushes that I would consider ineffective (none of those rushes went for a first down).

When you're rushing for 3 yards on 1st and 20, or picking up 0 yards on a 2nd and 10, you're setting up your passing game to fail, hence the terrible 3rd down conversion rate.

The offensive troubles, in my opinion, are pretty much on everyone. The offensive line, Stafford, receivers: everyone. They aren't all playing horribly, but it seems on any given play Sunday, someone wasn't doing their job.
