partying like it’s 1999

Some of you may have noticed that this blog is not overly concerned with appearance.  This is partially a conscious decision on my part—after all, it should be spare and bleak, in accordance with the metaphor that serves as the theme.  However, it’s also partially laziness, and also partially incompetence.  It’s true, I once drew a paycheck for my l33t w3b ski11z--but that was when men were men, and CSS was a browser-busting boondoggle.

I’ve enlisted the help of my homeboy Jim—one who, you know, has written a web page in the last decade—to help spruce up the site a little bit.  As an unintended consequence, you might see things get a little freaky up in here over the next day or two, but don’t fret.  Please, take solace in this animated .gif:
